Well known, Lonely Planet tourism and travel guide has just name Charleston, SC a top destination for 2010! Had they asked any of us who actually live here, we could have told them that we agree. On a regular basis I'll be walking with a friend, stop by the water or to take in the beauty of this city and say to my friend, "We live here, you know we live here, we aren't visiting this beautiful city." The sound of agreement and gratitude is always echoed as we can often take for granted just how fortunate we are to call Charleston, SC home!
